Chief Operating Officer

Over the past two years The White House Project has been growing steadily
and is now seeking to deepen and accelerate its management systems to
support the programmatic growth. This newly created Chief Operating
Officer will report directly to President and Founder, Marie Wilson.
Charged with leveraging the President to outreach and execute her role as
the visionary and principal spokesperson for the organization, the COO
will oversee the entire operation, including supervising the Directors of
Program, Development, Communications, Human Resources and Finance. The
White House Project has a 2007 annual operating budget of $3.5 Million,
seventeen employees, and a nineteen member Board of Directors that
includes leaders across business, non-profit and political sectors.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, mission-focused, strategic, and
process-minded leader with experience organizing and leading an executive
management team and developing a performance culture among a group of
diverse, talented individuals. The COO must be a leader who is able to
help others deliver measurable, cost-effective results that allow the
organization's broad vision to continue to be a reality. The successful
COO candidate will have the skills, sensitivity, and personal confidence
necessary to tap into the power that each team member brings to this
mission. The ideal candidate must believe in the core values of The White
House Project and be driven by the mission to advance women's leadership
in all communities and sectors.
