Biography of Ellie Schafer

Schafer Campaigns is an all inclusive political guidance and public relations firm. The firm is headed by Ellie Schafer. Schafer has over 11 years political campaign experience and has been instrumental in steering more than 15 campaigns to victory from Coast to Coast.

What began 12 years ago as an intriguing offer to be a one-time press secretary for a congressional campaign, has blossomed into a career, an avocation and a passion.

Schafer has extensive background and success in campaign management and strategy, media relations (paid/earned), targeting, GOTV, phone banks (paid/volunteer), direct mail, field programs, fundraising and budgeting.

The San Francisco Chronicle has called Schafer's campaigns "feisty and well-funded" and she has been featured in USA Today, CNN's Inside Politics, The New York Times and has been a regular guest on the Fox Radio "Kiley and Booms" show as well as other national and local media.  She has also recently been named as a regular columnist to PurePolitics.com which Forbes has named "Best of the Web" for politics.

Today, she is headquartered in San Francisco , where politics is a righteously combustible and deadly serious affair.

Schafer is a member of The Association for Women in Communications, the National Women's Political Caucus and POWER-UP.

She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Denver and studied television writing, production and film development at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA). She has been a scuba diving instructor, a radio disc jockey and previously wrote, produced and directed for television.
